Esplanade Law LLC

Compliance that holds up when it matters.

A Singapore law firm that prepares your policies, investigates your problems, and defends you before authorities.

Most businesses discover their policies on the day they need them: when an employee complains, data leaks or money goes missing.

We draft compliance documents as litigators who see the consequences of not having adequate protection. Our policies and documents are clear for your staff, specific to your business, and built to be relied on before the authorities.

Why a law firm?

Privilege, where the law allows.
Communications with your lawyers for the purpose of legal advice, or for anticipated litigation, may be protected under the Evidence Act 1893. We structure our work to preserve that protection, and we explain its limits.
Advice, not just templates.
Bespoke policies for your organisation addressing your operations and workflows.
Prevention to defence.
If your matter escalates to the police, CAD, TADM, MOM, PDPC, CPIB, or civil litigation, the same team can act for you.

Cheryl Ng

Cheryl Ng is the Managing Director of Esplanade Law LLC. She is an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore, a Solicitor of England and Wales, a Certified Fraud Examiner, a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, and an accredited mediator.

In over a decade of litigation, Cheryl has represented clients who had to sue or be sued on poor or non-existent policies and contracts. She has seen cases won and lost on what was written down at the time, so she drafts every policy as a document she would be prepared to rely on in court. The best way to avoid litigation or a regulatory investigation is to have documents that discourage it in the first place.
